Sandra was a very good student during her busy movie days. Here is a picture of her with her teacher Mrs. Gladys Hoene. In the article entitled "Nobody carries My Books To School" (Photoplay Magazine June 1959), it states that Sandra had a A average and was very serious about her
studies. Although she felt sometimes lonely in her class of one, Sandra said of her teacher, "Mrs. Hoene is more than a
teacher, she's a good friend. Imagine, sometimes we even play Rummy at our recess!"
